Bareboat Boats & Yachts for Charter
With the option of renting a boat without a captain, known as a bareboat rental, as long as you have the necessary licenses and experience, you can rent a sailboat and be your captain. With the bareboat chartering option, you can organize events like birthday parties or dinners or have a yacht vacation. In this rental type, you take delivery of the boat fully ready for sailing and give it back in the same condition. As an example, if you get the boat clean and with a full tank, you need to give it back in the same condition.
Why should I charter a bareboat boat?
The best part of bareboat chartering is that you set your destinations and sail plans. You are the architecture of your holiday. You can spend your holiday in bays or holiday places that you wish, listen to the music that you like, and eat and drink whatever you enjoy. With the bareboat chartering you can create your private area on the sea.
What do you need for bareboat chartering?
To rent a boat without a captain, in addition to prior experience with a boat in a similar size, you must have at least one of the Amateur Maritime License (ADB), RYA Day, Coastal Skipper License or international equivalent ICC licenses. Also, it will be beneficial for at least one of the other passengers to have sailing knowledge and experience.
How much does it cost to charter a bareboat boat?
Bareboat rental is less expensive than other alternatives due to the lack of captain service and the fact that this type of chartering is done with more reasonably priced boats such as sailboat and catamaran. Generally, a deposit is required in addition to the rental fee against possible accidents during the check-in. This paid deposit is returned to the renter if the boat is delivered without any problems. Harbor taxes and fees, transit-log, cleaning, supplies, and fuel costs are borne by the renter.
