In demanding weather conditions with wind speeds of 4 to 7 Beaufort and waves of between 1 and 5 meters, the ship drove us forward safely and quickly. The somewhat outdated black and white Garmin chart plotter on the navigation table plays an important role, as it is necessary for the GPS positioning of the DSC marine radio device, even though the screen is barely legible anymore. But fortunately, there is a modern plotter at the rudder position. Unfortunately, there is mold in the port aft cabin behind the inner lining of the fuselage due to penetrating moisture. The temporary adhesive test does not last and reveals the moldy surface. A good tip would be to replace this cladding, but until then, transitional disinfection could slow the growth of mold and reduce exposure in accessible areas. The maintenance of the yacht could still be optimized in some areas, but all essential components that are important for the trip work perfectly. The anchor claw consists of a steel hook that only fits moderately into the chain links. That's why we improvised and built a kind of Hahnepot with an additional leash, which gave us quieter nights while swearing. Practical advice: It makes sense to bring a 12V USB adapter for charging cell phones. If, on the other hand, you need a 220 V socket, for example for a tablet, you should have a 12 V/220 V converter with you as a precaution.

Everything went great, but there are a few things to consider. It would be nice to renew the fenders on the boat, but on the tuzik, the place where the rope is attached attracted attention, as the loop hardly holds anymore. We also had a little difficulty understanding the operation of the fuel sensor. However, despite these little things, the overall experience of the charter experience is top notch. I rate the quality of the yacht, the process of obtaining it, the interaction with the charter company and the marina itself by 10 points. The total cost for the experience provided was absolutely justified and we were satisfied with our journey with viravira.co.
