Our experience with the yacht charter was generally positive, particularly due to the outstanding skills of our skipper, Dimitris. His expertise greatly enhanced our journey. However, we did encounter some unexpected last-minute expenses, which could have been communicated more clearly upfront. For instance, it would have been helpful to have detailed information on the €1800 arrival fee, the daily marina docking charges, the skipper’s daily meal allowance, and an estimate of refueling costs readily available and not just mentioned in the fine print. Having already invested around AUD10K, discovering these additional fees upon arrival felt somewhat disheartening and gave rise to feelings of mistrust towards the organizing company. Despite these concerns, the overall quality of the yacht was excellent, and while certain aspects of the logistical arrangements could be improved, the overall experience was quite enjoyable. Caveat emptor, as they say; it's always worth ensuring full transparency in future dealings to avoid any feelings of being let down.
