We got the boat from Lefkas marina. We took delivery of the boat immediately after cleaning, but later noticed that the cleaning had been done very carelessly. There were crumbs and trash left over from the previous rental in many places. The kitchen tap was constantly dripping onto the kitchen counter. There was no tray in the oven. When we took delivery of the boat, we were warned about three key issues: 1. Toilet - Use with care; do not drop anything into it. - The wastewater tank is very small and fills up after 4-5 large flushes. 2. Be careful with the batteries. 3. Be careful with the anchor. We didn't have any issues with the anchor, but we did have problems with the batteries and the toilet from the moment we first boarded. The service battery was nearly dead, so we had to start the engine and charge it almost every night. The solar panels weren't sufficient to charge the service battery. The toilet was a complete nightmare. The flush wasn't powerful enough to clean the toilet, so we had to fetch water from the sea and pour it in with a bucket. This caused the already small tank to fill up quickly. The toilet overflowed multiple times. Every morning, due to the condition of the wastewater tank, we had to leave the bays where we wanted to swim in the blue waters and go outside the bay to empty the tank. We had to adjust our route based on the toilet’s condition. Unfortunately, our vacation was extremely unpleasant as a result. In addition to this, two days before the end of our vacation, the engine control panel failed. The start-stop buttons did not work because there was no power to the engine, and therefore the engine did not start. Fortunately, one of our friends was an experienced sailor, so we were able to start the engine manually (after informing the agency). We used the engine manually for two days. However, we don't know what we would have done if our friend hadn't been with us. Overall, the boat was neglected both in terms of cleanliness and maintenance. The ropes were also worn out. We conveyed our concerns to the agency during check-out, and their response was that they were unaware of the toilet being clogged and were unaware of other issues because previous customers had not provided feedback. This was an irresponsible response that showed they did not care about the boat. We definitely do not plan to rent from AF Yatching again.
