Datca Sailing Holidays & Yacht Vacations

Datca is located in one of the most beautiful spots of Turkey; on the coast where the Mediterranean and Aegean meet. Datca is a well-known district of Mugla and is a peninsula. Gokova is located in the north and the Gulf of Hisaronu is located in the south of Datca. Located at the very tip of the peninsula, the Ancient City of Knidos is one of Datca’s cultural treasures worth seeing.

The region, which was the most important science, art and culture center of Datca in ancient time, fascinates its visitors with its preserved structure. Each bay here in Datca has different natural beauties and the region is a center of attraction for yacht vacationers with its calm sea and untouched nature. We listed some of the paradise bays of Datca which inspired many of the poems of the master poet Can Yucel. These bays are a must add to your sailing route.

Kargi Bay

In Kargi Bay, which is only 3 kilometers from the center of Datca, lush green hills meet the blues. You will not be able to get enough of enjoying the magnificent view and the turquoise sea in this extremely peaceful bay. Since it is about half an hour walk from the city center, the bay welcomes many local and foreign tourists each and every year.

Domuz Cukuru Bay

Domuz Cukuru Bay, also known as Domuzbuku, is one of Datca’s hidden paradise corners that is not accessible by land. The bay greets you with pine scents. The long and wide beach of this bay has a pebbled-sanded structure. Watching the sunset and swimming in the sparkling waters of Domuz Cukuru Bay will bring you and your loved ones an unforgettable holiday experience.

Palamutbuku

Hayitbuku, Palamutbuku and Kizilbuk are known as the three beauties of Datca. The most popular among them is Palamutbuku. Here you can take short walks along the almond trees and experience various water sports activities. Palamutbuku is one of the favorite spots of holidaymakers with its sheltered harbor, uniquely beautiful beach and facilities suitable for all tastes. It’s structure resembling colorful mosaic stones and sea caves are also worth seeing.

Hayitbuku

Hayitbuku Bay, which is connected to the Mesudiye Village of Datca, will make you feel like you are swimming in a lake as it has a sheltered structure and a narrow beach. You can get a taste of fresh seafood in the restaurants while your feet are in the sea. You can add Hayitbuku to your sailing route to make these experiences come to life.

Kizilbuk

Kizilbuk is the smallest and most charming bay of the three beauties of Datca. Kizilbuk takes its name from the red sunset in the region. You can enjoy the sea, sand and sun all day long in Kizilbuk. For those who are overwhelmed of the crowds in Hayitbuku, Kizilbuk is the ideal spot as it has a peaceful atmosphere. Surrounded by palm trees, this cove is one of the most beautiful stops for those seeking for peace of mind.

Ovabuku

Another paradise bay of the Mesudiye Village is Ovabuku. This cove, where almond trees and rich plant cover accompany the deep blue waters, is one of the most visited places in Datca. With its huge, stony beach and crystal clear sea, Ovabuku also hosts yoga camps and retreats every summer.

Karaincir Bay

Karaincir Bay, also known as the Maldives of Datca, is a popular stop that you can add to your route. The beach here has fine sands that makes it unique among all other coves. It is possible to observe the historical ruins on the hill by taking short walks along the cove.

Murdala Bay

One of the most captivating coves on the Aegean side of Datca is Murdala. Since the cove receives strong winds during the day and in the evening, the ideal time to swim is the midday hours. Murdala Bay, where you can see the greenest areas of Datca, attracts visitors with its many natural beauties. Various tree types can be found here such as pine, almond and sandalwood.

Baglarozu Bay

Baglarozu Bay is located on the Mediterranean side of Datca and is one of the bays within the borders of Yazi Village. You can take short walks in this bay which is surrounded by olive and almond trees, and visit the Ancient City of Knidos.
