Corfu, the crown jewel of the Ionian Islands, is renowned for its sparking emerald seas, endless olive groves, and historic towns filled with Venetian architecture — making it an idyllic setting for a catamaran charter. The island's diverse coastline offers plenty of anchorages where you can unwind after a long day of sailing.
Corfu is easily accessible by air with its own international airport, while ferries from mainland Greece and Italy provide an alternative mode of reaching the island. Also, many charter companies offer catamarans from the harbors of Gouvia and Kassiopi, making it convenient for direct sea transfers.
Corfu offers a wealth of sailing destinations and routes. From the cosmopolitan atmosphere of Corfu Town to the tranquil beauty of Agni Bay, the soft white sands of Halikounas Beach, and the secluded paradise of Marathias; each destination uniquely embodies the Grecian charm. Sailing routes often include a stop at Paxos, a small island south of Corfu known for its azure waters and white cliffs.
The best time to visit Corfu for sailing is between May and October when the weather is warm, the winds are favorable, and the sea temperature is comfortable for swimming. Off-peak season in early spring and late autumn can also offer a more peaceful sailing experience, less crowded marinas, and lower charter rates.

Whether you opt for a skippered or bareboat charter depends on your confidence, sailing experience, and desire for freedom. A local captain can offer invaluable local knowledge and sailing tips, while a bareboat charter allows you complete control over your itinerary.
Opting for a crewed charter can enhance convenience and pleasure. The professionally trained crew can take care of navigation, meal preparation, and other onboard tasks, allowing you to focus simply on enjoying your sailing experience.
If you opt for renting a catamaran without a skipper, you'll need to possess an appropriate sailing license recognized by Greek authorities, along with sufficient sailing experience.
Essentials include comfortable clothing, swimwear, sun protection, soft-soled shoes for on-board use, a good book or two, and of course, your sailing license if you're planning on bareboat charter.

The boat was in great shape. Bali Catspace is an excellent catamaran for 1 week sailing with 6 people. The staff was excellent and helpful all the time. Check-in and check-out was smooth. Dingy needed inflation all the time. The outboard engine worked great. During our trip, cooking gas finished and to switch to the spare gas, we needed an adapter and had to wait for technician to bring it. Shortly, we didn't have any major issue; only small ones, and the company was quick to react and fix them. Thank you for this lovely week.
