Yacht Marinas in Istanbul: The 2026 List
Istanbul has 7 marinas and 2 public boat parks. See which side of the city each one is on, berth capacity, Blue Flag status and how to get a mooring quote.
Also available in: English, Türkçe
Istanbul currently has seven working marinas plus two public boat parks run by İSPARK. By berths in the water, the largest is Setur Kalamış & Fenerbahçe Marina with 1,278, and the newest is Kıyı İstanbul Marina in Büyükçekmece. A lot has changed since we first published this guide. Kıyı İstanbul has joined the list, the operating rights for Kalamış were re-tendered for another 40 years, and several marinas now report different capacities. Below you’ll find which side of the city each one is on, how many boats it takes and what it offers, checked against current sources.
Istanbul Marinas at a Glance (2026)
The table ranks every facility by the number of boats it can berth in the water. Capacities come from the operators themselves or from the Marine Tourism Association (Deniz Turizmi Birliği) guide. The Blue Flag column reflects the 2025 records of TÜRÇEV, the foundation that runs the Blue Flag programme in Türkiye.

Even using the lowest figures, these nine facilities can berth more than 5,500 boats between them. Six are on the European side and three on the Asian side. On the Bosphorus itself, the only official places to moor are İSPARK’s two boat parks at İstinye and Tarabya.
Marina, Yacht Harbour or Port: What’s the Difference?
In Istanbul a marina and a yacht harbour (yat limanı in Turkish) are the same thing. Both terms describe a facility where yachts and leisure boats can berth and get power, water, fuel, security and technical services. Turkish official documents and news reports tend to say yat limanı. The Kalamış facility, for example, was tendered under the name Fenerbahçe-Kalamış Yat Limanı.
A boat park is a simpler setup. İSPARK’s boat parks on the Bosphorus have berths but no haul-out, travel lift or dry storage, so anyone who needs to lift a boat out for maintenance has to go to a full marina.
The big ports of Istanbul, such as Ambarlı and Haydarpaşa, handle cargo and containers. Galataport in Karaköy is a cruise terminal, and its website doesn’t list berthing for private boats. Istmarina in Kartal is something else again. Despite the name, it’s a shopping mall and residential project, and it doesn’t appear as a marina on the lists kept by the Istanbul Chamber of Shipping, TÜRÇEV or the Marine Tourism Association.
Setur Kalamış & Fenerbahçe Marina (Kadıköy, Asian Side)

Stretching between Fenerbahçe and Kalamış Bay in Kadıköy, this is the largest marina in Istanbul. According to Setur, it can take 1,278 boats in the water and 220 on land, with room for yachts up to 65 metres. Maximum depth is 6.5 metres.
In February 2025 the operating rights passed to Koç Holding for 40 years, on a bid of $504 million. The marina is run by Setur Marinas, part of the Koç group. Haul-out and launch, hull washing, engine work, painting and sail repair are all handled by workshops inside the marina. It’s also close to Kalamış Park and Bağdat Avenue, so plenty of people who don’t own a boat come here for a walk and a meal by the water.

Ataköy Marina (Bakırköy, European Side)

Ataköy Marina sits in Bakırköy on the European side. The marina’s own website puts its capacity at 1,000 boats in the water, while the Marine Tourism Association guide gives 1,100. Either way, it’s the second-largest marina in the city after Kalamış.
It can berth superyachts up to 100 metres long at the same time and calls itself Istanbul’s first megayacht marina. In 2025 The Yacht Harbour Association awarded it “Superyacht Ready” and “International Clean Marina” certification, and TÜRÇEV records show it held its Blue Flag again that year. A 63-tonne travel lift handles haul-outs.
Atatürk Airport is 7 km away and Istanbul Airport 34 km, which makes Ataköy a popular choice for owners who fly in privately.

Marintürk Istanbul City Port (Pendik, Asian Side)

Marintürk Istanbul City Port in Pendik is the second-largest marina on the Asian side. The operator says it can berth 785 boats across 11 floating pontoons.
Büyükada, the biggest of the Princes’ Islands, is just 6 nautical miles away. That makes City Port a handy base for owners who like to slip out to the islands at the weekend. The boatyard has a travel lift for vessels up to 200 tonnes and the technical setup you’d need for maintenance and repairs.

Viaport Marina (Tuzla, Asian Side)

Viaport Marina was opened by Via Properties in May 2015. The Tuzla facility has 750 berths and its floating pontoons take yachts up to 80 metres. It holds a five-anchor rating.
Tuzla is Istanbul’s shipyard and boat-service district, which keeps Viaport’s boatyard busy all year. The marina has two mobile lifts, rated at 75 and 300 tonnes, and 30,000 m² of dry storage. Sabiha Gökçen Airport is about 15 minutes away. The shops and restaurants behind the marina also make it a pleasant weekend stop for people who don’t own a boat.

West Istanbul Marina (Beylikdüzü, European Side)

On the Yakuplu shore of Beylikdüzü, West Istanbul Marina has room for up to 600 boats in the water and 200 on land, and it can take superyachts up to 90 metres. There are two travel lifts, one of 75 tonnes and one of 700 tonnes. The marina bills the 700-tonne lift as the largest crane in Türkiye, and it can lift vessels up to 56 metres out of the water.
Smaller boats can use a rack storage system. According to TÜRÇEV, West Istanbul has held a Blue Flag every year since 2014. With restaurants, shops and sports facilities on site, it fills up at weekends with visitors who come for the waterfront rather than the berths.

Kıyı İstanbul Marina (Büyükçekmece, European Side)

Kıyı İstanbul Marina wasn’t in the original version of this guide. It’s in the Fatih neighbourhood of Büyükçekmece, in the same complex as the Kıyı Çarşı shopping arcade, and the Marine Tourism Association describes it as the newest marina on Istanbul’s European side.
The marina can host 539 yachts at once, from 10 to 100 metres long. Its boatyard has a 160-tonne travel lift and its own technical team. There’s a fuel station with fuel delivery to the quay, plus mooring assistance and valet service. Owners also have access to a yacht club with a pool, tennis court and fitness centre.

Güzelce Marina (Büyükçekmece, European Side)

Güzelce Marina is in the Güzelce neighbourhood of Büyükçekmece. Its website says it can take 250 boats in the water and serves Turkish and foreign-flagged yachts up to 60 metres.
The marina’s website and the Istanbul Chamber of Shipping’s current list both show Güzelce as operating, though we couldn’t find any press coverage of it from 2025 or 2026. If you’re thinking of keeping a boat here, call the marina first to confirm capacity and services.

İstinye and Tarabya Boat Parks (Sarıyer, European Side)

The only two official places to moor on the Bosphorus are the İSTMARİN boat parks run by İSPARK, a company owned by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. İSPARK opened them to put an end to boats tying up wherever they could find space along the strait. Both received a Blue Flag in 2025.
- İSTMARİN İstinye Boat Park: On İstinye Avenue, within walking distance of İstinye Park shopping centre and the waterfront restaurants. It has 188 berths.
- İSTMARİN Tarabya Boat Park: On Haydar Aliyev Avenue in Tarabya Bay. The Marine Tourism Association puts its capacity at between 208 and 265 boats.
According to the Marine Tourism Association, depth at both parks ranges from 3.5 to 23 metres and they can take boats up to 30 metres. Because they aren’t marinas, there’s no haul-out or dry storage.

How Much Does a Marina Berth Cost in Istanbul?
None of Istanbul’s marinas publish their berthing rates online. Ataköy Marina’s fees page asks visitors to call the front office, and Kıyı İstanbul quotes prices through a booking form. We couldn’t find a current price list on the Kalamış, West Istanbul, City Port or Güzelce websites either. So be wary of any “2026 marina prices” you come across online. It takes a bit of legwork, but the only reliable way to get a price is to ask each marina for a quote.
When you do, it helps to know what drives the price:
- Boat length and beam: Fees are usually calculated on length.
- Length of stay: Daily, monthly and annual berths are priced differently, and an annual contract brings the daily cost down.
- In the water or on land: Dry storage and winter lay-up are charged separately.
- Season: Short-term berths cost more in summer.
- Extras: Electricity, water, haul-out, travel lift use and maintenance are often billed on top.
For the most accurate figure, send your boat’s length, how long you plan to stay and your dates to several marinas and compare the quotes.
You don’t need to own a boat to enjoy Istanbul’s marinas. You can charter one for a Bosphorus cruise, a sunset trip or a day out to the Princes’ Islands. Frequently Asked Questions
By berths in the water, the largest marina in Istanbul is Setur Kalamış & Fenerbahçe Marina, with 1,278. Next come Ataköy Marina, with 1,000 to 1,100 berths, and Marintürk Istanbul City Port, with 785.
Istanbul’s marinas don’t publish their berthing rates. The price depends on the boat’s length, how long it stays, the season and whether it’s kept in the water or on land. To get an accurate figure, ask the marinas for a quote with your boat’s length and dates.
No. Istmarina in Kartal is a shopping mall and residential project. It isn’t listed as a yacht harbour by the Istanbul Chamber of Shipping, TÜRÇEV or the Marine Tourism Association. If you’re looking for a berth on the Asian side, try the marinas in Kalamış, Pendik or Tuzla.
According to TÜRÇEV’s 2025 records, four facilities in Istanbul fly the Blue Flag: Ataköy Marina, West Istanbul Marina, İSTMARİN İstinye Boat Park and İSTMARİN Tarabya Boat Park.
Ataköy Marina is on the European side of Istanbul, in the Bakırköy district. It’s 7 km from Atatürk Airport.
Most are run by private companies. Kalamış & Fenerbahçe is operated by Setur Marinas, part of Koç Holding. Viaport is run by Via Properties and City Port in Pendik by Marintürk. The boat parks at İstinye and Tarabya belong to İSPARK, a company owned by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.
